European law firm Fieldfisher is strengthening its German dispute resolution practice in Berlin with the addition of Dr. Benny Wünschmann. A specialist in litigation and corporate law, he advises primarily on corporate and transaction-related disputes as well as liability issues involving corporate officers. Benny joined on 3 August 2026.
Benny brings experience in both litigation and out-of-court dispute resolution, as well as domestic and international arbitration proceedings. He joins from Flick Gocke Schaumburg.
One of Benny’s areas of focus is disputes surrounding corporate transactions and venture capital investments, such as post-M&A and post-exit conflicts, shareholder disputes, and disputes regarding the duties and liabilities of corporate officers. In addition, he handles commercial law proceedings in which he represents companies, shareholders, members of management, and investors. He also handles complex commercial law proceedings, particularly those involving tax issues or supply chain disputes, in which he represents companies, shareholders, members of management, and investors.
Benny combines expertise in litigation with a broad knowledge of corporate and transaction law. He assists clients in identifying conflicts early on and strategically avoiding them, while at the same time consistently representing their interests in corporate law disputes that have already escalated.
With his arrival, Fieldfisher is launching its dispute resolution practice in Berlin, complementing its existing teams in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. The appointment will also strengthen links with the firm’s international corporate, M&A, private equity and venture capital, and restructuring teams. Additional areas of overlap include liability issues arising from corporate crises, as well as advice on directors’ and officers’ duties and D&O liability.
Fieldfisher’s Berlin office continues to grow as a key hub within the firm’s European network and now comprises seven partners. Most recently, the office welcomed digital finance expert Eric Romba as a partner in July. His arrival has further strengthened the firm’s capital markets and fund advisory capabilities in Berlin and created additional synergies across practice areas.
The expansion in Berlin forms part of Fieldfisher’s broader growth strategy for its international dispute resolution practice. In June, the firm appointed Energy disputes partner Richard Power, further enhancing its cross-border disputes offering. Fieldfisher’s Dispute Resolution practice now comprises more than 450 lawyers internationally, reflecting the continued expansion of its European and global platform.
