Business law firm Bignon Lebray has announced the appointment of Pierre-Emmanuel Scherrer, Partner in Tax Law and Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, as a member of its Executive Board. He succeeds François Vignalou, whom the firm thanks for his commitment and contribution to the work of the Executive Board.
The Executive Board of Bignon Lebray is now composed of:
-Sébastien Pinot, Chairman of the Executive Board, Partner in the Paris office;
-Alain Vamour, Member of the Executive Board, Partner in the Lille office;
-Pierre-Emmanuel Scherrer, Member of the Executive Board, Partner in the Lyon office.
This new structure strengthens the regional representation within the firm’s governance. It brings together three partners from three major French metropolitan areas and reflects Bignon Lebray’s commitment to involving its various offices in the definition and implementation of the firm’s strategy.
It also illustrates the firm’s collective model, built on complementary expertise, close ties with regional economic ecosystems, and the coordinated mobilization of its teams in support of clients.

In his new role, Pierre-Emmanuel Scherrer will participate in defining and implementing the firm’s strategic direction. In particular, he will contribute to strengthening synergies between offices and practice areas, developing the firm’s sector-focused approach, and supporting its transformation initiatives.
With offices in Paris, Lille, Lyon, and Aix-en-Provence, Bignon Lebray combines a strong regional presence with national and international capabilities. This structure allows the firm to remain closely aligned with the economic realities and transformation challenges faced by the companies and organizations it advises.

Pierre-Emmanuel Scherrer joined the Lyon office of Bignon Lebray in 2017 to develop the firm’s tax practice, focusing on transactions, strategic corporate operations, and international taxation
He advises companies and business leaders on the structuring and execution of strategic transactions, particularly in the areas of external growth, group reorganizations, share transactions, and asset deals. He also represents clients in tax audits and tax litigation matters.
He began his career as a tax lawyer in 1998 at Veil Jourde, before joining Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in 2006 and Fidal in 2009. He joined Bignon Lebray in 2017.
He graduated from HEC Paris and holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in International Taxation from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University.
