Charles Russell Speechlys has announced the appointment of Paolo Rampulla as the firm’s first Corporate Tax Partner in its Milan office.
Paolo joins from the Italian law firm ADVANT NCTM, where he served as Partner and Chartered Accountant for the past 23 years. He will be responsible for establishing and leading the firm’s corporate tax offering in Italy, working in close integration with the Corporate practice already active across the firm’s global platform.
Paolo is a highly experienced specialist in Italian corporate tax law and advises on domestic and international tax matters relating to M&A, private equity and financing transactions, corporate reorganisations and transfer pricing. His work regularly supports cross-border deals involving companies, investors and entrepreneurs.

Alongside Paolo’s appointment, the firm has also named Raffaella Piraccini as Counsel in the Milan office, specialising in corporate tax. Raffaella joins from Spada Partners, where she has served as Senior Tax Counsel since 2022. Her areas of expertise include tax advisory for corporate groups and multinationals, international taxation and M&A transactions, as well as the preparation of tax ruling requests. She has gained significant experience working with companies in the healthcare and industrial sectors. An additional senior specialist in tax litigation will soon join the Italian practice.
The firm opened its Milan office in November 2024, further strengthening it with the arrival of Partner Annapaola Negri-Clementi and her team in October 2025. The Milan team will relocate to its new premises at Via Borgogna 8 on 12 May.
Paolo is the latest in a series of Partner-level hires in Europe this year, including Luca Beffa in the Arbitration team and Frédéric Ney in the Tax team in Geneva, as well as Marguerite Brac de La Perrière, the firm’s first-ever Partner for IT, Data and AI in Paris, underscoring the firm’s continued investment in its European offices.
