Nantes Mello Advogados, a law firm recognized for its innovative, technology-driven and business-oriented approach, announces the appointment of Matheus Cantarella Vieira and Beatriz de Albuquerque Tuono Coutinho as partners.

With more than 15 years of experience in both labor litigation and advisory matters, the new partners will lead the development of a modern Employment and Labor practice that is fully integrated with the firm’s other practice areas and closely aligned with clients’ businesses. Their approach also includes working in close collaboration with Human Resources departments to gain an in-depth understanding of each company’s operational and strategic needs.

Matheus holds a Master’s degree in Political and Economic Law from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, an MBA in Business Management, Economics and Corporate Management from ESALQ/USP, and a postgraduate degree in Labor Law from PUC-SP. Throughout his career, he has worked at leading law firms, where he developed extensive expertise in individual and collective labor litigation – including judicial, administrative and union-related matters – as well as advisory work and labor due diligence. He has led strategic cases and managed large litigation portfolios with a strong focus on significantly reducing labor contingencies through accurate risk assessments and strategic recommendations aimed at implementing preventive measures.
Beatriz holds an LL.M. in Tax Law from Insper and a specialization in People Management and Labor Compliance from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). Having also built her career at highly regarded law firms, she has extensive experience in drafting defenses and appeals, representing clients at hearings and oral arguments, preparing legal opinions and advisory memoranda on labor matters, and developing strategies for collective bargaining and union negotiations.
According to the new partner, the strategic expansion aims to strengthen Nantes Mello’s ability to advise domestic and multinational companies of all sizes and across a wide range of industries throughout Brazil on liability management, business-critical decision-making and risk mitigation.
