Maurício Veiga brings his experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and infrastructure to support the firm’s work on highly complex transactions
KLA announces the arrival of Maurício Veiga as a partner in June, strengthening its Corporate Law, M&A, and Infrastructure practices.
Maurício has nearly 12 years of experience advising Brazilian and international clients on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, representing investment funds, multinational companies, and financial institutions. He also works on infrastructure projects in Brazil, covering the structuring, implementation, and operational phases, with particular expertise in the energy sector, including distributed generation and self-production projects.
Before joining KLA, Maurício worked at leading law firms in the Brazilian legal market, gaining experience in large-scale and highly complex transactions. He holds a law degree from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a Master of Science in Decision Making and Applied Analytics from Minerva University (San Francisco, USA), where his thesis focused on the valuation of artificial intelligence companies by venture capital funds. He also completed an exchange program in International Business Law at Tilburg University (Netherlands).
According to KLA’s Executive Committee, Maurício’s addition to the partnership reflects the firm’s commitment to bringing together professionals with strong technical capabilities and a consistent business-oriented approach, enhancing its coordinated, strategic, and highly specialized support to clients.
“The integration of Maurício into our team comes at the ideal time to meet our clients’ demands, especially in leading significant transactions in the technology, energy, and infrastructure sectors. We are very excited about his arrival,” says founding partner Karin Alvo, a member of the Executive Committee and the Corporate Law, M&A, Private Equity, and Venture Capital team at KLA.
Founded on May 13, 2002, in São Paulo, KLA operates with a focus on long-term client partnerships, aiming to go beyond traditional legal services. The firm adopts a collaborative culture and invests in the development of professionals at all career stages.
