Eversheds Sutherland announces that Amber Allen has joined the US Investment Services & Products Practice Group as counsel.
She will expand the team’s capabilities that advise asset managers on a wide range of regulatory issues and matters, including in the areas of artificial intelligence, privacy and cybersecurity, and adviser compliance programs.
Ms. Allen most recently served as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Fairview, LLC, a provider of comprehensive compliance consulting services for investment advisers, mutual funds and other financial institutions. In this legal and business leadership role, she gained extensive experience overseeing multiple teams that designed and implemented compliance programs and advised clients on regulatory requirements, examinations and industry best practices, with a focus on large and complex registrants.
In 2019, Ms. Allen led efforts to launch Fairview’s cyber solutions practice group, for which she also served as General Counsel and President. This business line involved providing SEC-focused cybersecurity and data security consulting to registered investment advisers.
Within the broader industry, Ms. Allen is an active member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP), where she serves on the Board of Directors. She is also its Deputy Chair of the Governance Committee and a member of the Conference Committee.

Ms. Allen’s broad financial services-focused work also includes creating and implementing corporate policies and procedures pertaining to organizational cyber and data security programs, business continuity, GDPR policies and procedures, disaster recovery and incident response. Ms. Allen is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (IAPP).
