Mayer Brown announced that Kerrick Seay has joined the firm’s Global Leveraged Finance and Private Capital Group as a partner in New York. He joins from White & Case, where he represented leading investment banks, private credit funds and leading bank arrangers on high-profile leveraged and acquisition financings, liability management transactions and other strategic financings across a variety of industries.

Kerrick is a highly regarded debt finance lawyer with extensive experience advising major financial institutions, direct lenders and other capital providers on a wide range of complex financing transactions. His practice focuses on syndicated lending, private credit transactions, restructuring-related financings and sophisticated liability management exercises.
He brings significant in-house experience, having spent approximately seven years in Morgan Stanley’s Legal and Compliance Department. In that role, he advised the firm’s US Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, Liability Management and Loan Products businesses and supported project finance and structured products matters, providing him with a unique perspective on the priorities and challenges facing financial institution clients. Kerrick has also done infrastructure finance work which is well aligned with Mayer Brown’s strong Projects & Infrastructure practice.
