Somatus’ Acquisition of Lumiata

HMB Legal Counsel assisted Lumiata on the deal.

Lumiata, a healthcare-specific AI platform, has been acquired by Somatus, the nation’s leading and largest value-based kidney care company.

By leveraging Lumiata’s proven ability to accurately predict high-cost claimants and likelihood of disease progression, Somatus will enhance its ability to reduce costs for provider and health plan partners.

Lumiata is a predictive analytics company that specializes in tools for healthcare.

Headquartered in Virginia, Somatus partners with nephrology and primary care groups, leading health plans and health systems to provide integrated care for patients with, or at risk of developing, kidney disease. As the market leader in value-based kidney care, Somatus’ vertically integrated clinical services and technology delay or prevent disease progression, improve quality and care coordination and increase the use of home dialysis modalities and rates of kidney transplantation.
