Province of Ontario’s $2.25 Billion Bond Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented the Province of Ontario, while Davis Polk advised the underwriters in the offering.

Province of Ontario (Ontario) executed its public offering of $2.25 billion of its 3.100% bonds due May 19, 2027. Application has been made to the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LSE) for the bonds to be admitted to trading on the Euro MTF Market of the LSE.

Barclays, CIBC Capital Markets, J.P. Morgan, and RBC Capital Markets acted as underwrtiters for the offering.

Ontario is the largest Canadian province by population and home to both the nation’s capital and most populous city.
