BSVA Studio Legale Associato announces the arrival of Silvia Martina as Partner, as part of the strengthening of its white-collar criminal law and compliance practice.
Silvia Martina provides litigation assistance and out-of-court advisory services to leading Italian and international clients, both individuals and corporations. She has developed significant experience across all major areas of white-collar criminal law, with a particular focus on corporate, tax and customs offences, bankruptcy crimes, environmental offences, workplace health and safety matters, as well as crimes against the Public Administration.
She also boasts consolidated expertise in assisting companies involved in proceedings concerning corporate criminal liability pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001, as well as in corporate compliance activities, with a particular focus on the prevention and mitigation of crime-related risks. In this context, she oversees the drafting and updating of Organisation, Management and Control Models and serves as a member of Supervisory Bodies.
She regularly conducts internal investigations, including preventive defensive investigations, and manages whistleblowing reports.
A graduate cum laude from the University of Milan in 2016, Silvia Martina qualified as a lawyer in 2019 and is admitted to the Milan Bar.
She serves as Secretary of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the International Bar Association, is a member of the Italian Association for Transparency and Anti-Corruption, and is also a member and Secretary of the Criminal Justice Commission of the Milan Bar Association. A former teaching assistant in Advanced Criminal Procedure at the University of Milan, she is the author of several publications and is a regular speaker at conferences in Italy and abroad on white-collar crime, anti-corruption, compliance and artificial intelligence. Among others, she is invited annually by the New York City Bar Association and by the American Bar Association, Tax Section.
