Holland & Knight announced that 50 attorneys have been elected to the Firm’s partnership, effective Jan. 1, 2026. Forty-one associates, eight senior counsel and one of counsel from various offices and practices throughout the Firm have been elevated. These promotions include four attorneys from the Firm’s Latin America Practice Group, listed below.
Mexico City senior counsel elevated to partner:
Aldo González Melo: Mr. González Melo practices in the areas of corporate, project, structured and public (sub-national) finance, as well as in the structuring of cross-border, international, infrastructure and energy transactions. He mainly represents financial institutions acting as lenders, arrangers, bookrunners and agents in all kind of secured and unsecured financial transactions, including term loans, revolving lines, bridge loans, syndicate financings, environmental, social and governance (ESG) loans and discounting (factoring) products.
Miami associates elevated to partner:
Tomas E. Castellanos: Mr. Castellanos focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including the financing, acquisition, disposition, leasing and development of real estate assets. He advises developers, investors and joint ventures in complex real estate transactions for acquisitions, developments and construction of real estate assets, including international clients interested in investing in the United States, with a special focus on Spanish and Latin American clients.
Annelise Del Rivero: Ms. Del Rivero focuses her practice in the area of commercial litigation, representing international and domestic clients in civil disputes. Her practice includes assisting clients in early resolution of disputes through settlement negotiations and mediation, overseeing discovery and engaging in substantive motion practice at all stages of litigation.
Alec M. Puig: Mr. Puig is experienced in matters involving general and complex commercial and corporate arbitration and litigation as well as corporate internal investigations, compliance and training, and white collar criminal defense, representing both international and domestic clients with a focus on shareholder relations.
All four attorneys are bilingual in English and Spanish and practice in both languages to serve clients in the U.S. and Latin America.
