Veirano Advogados advances in 2023 with the promotion of counsel Mauro Hiane de Moura to the position of partner in the Public Law & Regulation practice.
Based in Porto Alegre, Mauro focuses his practice on complex administrative and judicial litigation, with emphasis on Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, public tenders and contracts, and regulated industries.
Highlighted in several editions of The Legal 500 Latin America in the Public Law & Regulation and Dispute Resolution categories, Mauro joins a solid academic background to a wide and robust practical experience. His clients value his combination of analytical precision, empirical knowledge and strategic thinking.
Mauro holds a LL.M., focused on Administrative Law, from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), same institution where he completed a specialization in Business Economics and graduated in Law, summa cum laude. He also holds a LL.M. from The University of Chicago, in addition to a post-graduate degree in Economics for Competition Law from King’s College London.
Mauro began his career at Veirano in 2000, as a trainee, becoming an associate the following year, a position he held until his departure in 2011. In 2017, he returned to the Firm an Of Counsel.
