HUK-COBURG announced an investment in Neodigital Versicherung AG and the establishment of a joint venture in the field of motor insurance with Neodigital.
With the strategic investment in Neodigital, HUK-COBURG primarily aims to combine the innovative technology of the InsureTech, which was founded in 2017, with its own strengths and to further develop and expand its business in the area of digital motor insurance products. HUK-COBURG is currently already the largest provider of telematics tariffs in the German insurance market.
Neodigital was founded in 2017 by Stephen Voss and Dirk Wittling and offers digital insurance. Its portfolio includes liability, accident, home, building and pet insurance. The start-up’s investors include the SchneiderGolling Group, Deutsche Rück and Coparion. Huk-Coburg is the market leader for vehicle insurance with a turnover of 8 billion euros in 2020.
Huk-Coburg has been around since 1933 and started as a car insurer for civil servants. The company is the market leader for vehicle insurance with around 13 million insured cars and a turnover of 8 billion euros in 2020.
