Hauser & Wirth has finalized the BEFA (commercial lease in the future state of completion) for its future gallery in a neo-classical 19th century private mansion located in the golden triangle of Paris, between avenue Montaigne and the Champs-Élysées.

Located at 24 bis rue François 1er and spread over approximately 800 m² and four floors, the Parisian gallery of Hauser & Wirth will include an exhibition space with a six-meter high ceiling on the ground floor and another located on the first floor. . From 1955 to 2018, the building was the headquarters of the radio station Europe 1, one of the most popular networks in France. Before that, it had been occupied by the La Maison Decour decorative arts gallery until the 1940s. Hauser & Wirth will lease the space to the Ardian Real Estate investment fund, which bought the building in 2018 from the Lagardère group.

Hauser & Wirth continues its long-standing commitment to supporting the cultural and architectural heritage of the territories where it is present. Its future Paris space will be designed by architect Luis Laplace, who has worked closely with the gallery since 2013 on several restoration projects for architecturally significant buildings.

Hauser & Wirth currently comprises 14 galleries worldwide located in Switzerland, UK, USA, Hong Kong, Spain and Monaco.
