Hall & Wilcox has significantly strengthened its projects and infrastructure capability with the appointment of two new partners: Mark Montag and Shaun Whittaker.
Mark specialises in project development in renewable energy, energy and infrastructure, with a focus on energy transition, procurement, financings and due diligences. Mark acts for a mix of developers, financiers, government and private sector clients domestically and offshore. Mark joins from White & Case, where he was a partner. Before that Mark was at Herbert Smith Freehills. Mark also has previously served as general counsel for a major Australian renewable energy developer, while on secondment.
Shaun specialises in impact infrastructure, including major projects, service and procurement and investment and structuring. Shaun’s client base is in social and affordable housing, specialist disability accommodation, student accommodation and healthcare/hospitals, and has a mix of developer, CHP, operator and investor clients. Shaun joins from Holding Redlich where he was a partner, having previously been at Mills Oakley and Herbert Smith Freehills.
Shaun has joined with his team: senior associate Lauri Reid and lawyer Kayla Howe.
Both Mark and Shaun and Shaun’s team are based in Melbourne, working nationally.
