The law firm Galvão Villani, Navarro, Zangiácomo e Bardella Advogados is proud to announce it has new team members. They are: Marcia Harue Ishige de Freitas, who is joining as a partner of the tax area and private clients, and also, Gabriela Carneiro Sultani and Jorge Luz. Marcia is a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in the legal market and a strong presence in corporate restructuring and estate planning. Marcia and her team arrive to strengthen not only the firm’s existing tax area, but also to add expertise within the Corporate, Contractual, Civil and Succession Law areas.
Graduated in Law from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP), Marcia has a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), and an international course in the area carried-out at the Universiteit Leiden, in the Netherlands. For her work in Tax Law, Marcia has earned recognition in legal rankings, such as Análise Advocacia Mulher, in which she was mentioned as one of the most admired female tax lawyers in the country.
After three years of work in her former firm, in which she was a founding partner, Marcia and her team join Galvão Villani Advogados aiming to apply their extensive tax knowledge to the demands of a legal boutique specialized in the area, contributing to business cases involving topics such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Tax Planning, structuring and strategic business consulting.
In addition to Marcia, the office also has two new lawyers, coming from the same firm as her: Jorge Luz and Gabriela Carneiro Sultani. Marcia and Gabriela have been working together for over a decade, while Jorge joined them in mid-2020, during the pandemic. The three arrive at the office to strengthen the tax practice, and to continue offering ethical, cohesive work in line with the clients’ objectives.
Graduated in Law from Universidade Paulista (UNIP), Jorge is a graduate student in Tax Law at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), area in which he operates since 2017. The lawyer has already worked at the Public Defender’s Office of the State of São Paulo, and also in other law firms. Gabriela graduated in Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) in 2002, holds a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from the same institution, and has a specialization in Accounting, Controllership and Finance from Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Contábeis, Atuariais e Financeiras (FIPECAFI). The lawyer has worked in large Brazilian law firms, having more than 20 years of experience in the tax area.
