Alan’s €183 Million Fundraising

Goodwin advised Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) while Orrick represented Alan.

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) led the $193 million Series E financing round of the French health insurance startup Alan.

This round was led with participation from existing and new investors including Temasek, Index, Coatue, Ribbit Capital, Exor, Dragoneer, and Lakestar.

Founded in 2016, Alan is the first independent digital health insurance in France since 1986. In April 2021, Alan raised €185 million and became a unicorn at a €1.4 billion valuation. It has now reached a €2.7 billion valuation.
