Bird & Bird has advised FUNKE Mediengruppe on the deal.
FUNKE Mediengruppe acquired gofeminin.de, one of the leading online women’s lifestyle spaces in the German market.
The seller is French media company auFeminin SAS, a subsidiary of the TF1 Group. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
FUNKE had already acquired the health site Onmeda.de from the French media company in January 2021.

With its broad editorial mix of topics from fashion & beauty, love, motherhood and pregnancy, and fitness and nutrition, the site receives almost 9.6 million visits per month. The acquisition also includes the gofeminin community, where around 1.7 million members exchange ideas, as well as gofeminin’s successful social media channels with hundreds of thousands of followers.
