Clark Hill Adds First Two Attorneys Solely Based in Mexico City Office

Clark Hill has expanded its Mexico City office with the recent additions of Member Ramiro Rangel and Senior Counsel Miroslava De Olaguibel.

Rangel and De Olaguibel are the first two Clark Hill attorneys who will be based solely in Mexico City. They are both part of the firm’s Corporate practice group.

For Rangel, joining Clark Hill is a full-circle moment. He originally worked as a foreign legal consultant for Clark Hill in Dallas during 1999 and 2000. Rangel then became a Clark Hill partner of Clark Hill from 2002-2004 before co-managing a joint venture for the firm in Mexico from 2004-2012. Several years later, he returns as Member in a much larger firm.

“My path has crossed again with colleagues and good friends at Clark Hill,” Rangel said. “Although much has changed, everything looks and feels familiar to me. I see a huge opportunity to assist Clark Hill’s clients further with a larger presence in the Mexico City office.”

Rangel and De Olaguibel will support Clark Hill clients by leaning on their experience in cross-border and international transactions. Their domestic practices in Mexico will also help clients navigate the Mexican legal system and business environment, as well as in their expansion into the Mexican market.

Both have more than 25 years of experience as practicing lawyers in Mexico City and its surrounding areas, specializing in corporate law assistant clients in the automotive, hospitality, transportation, and franchising and licensing industries.

Established in 1890, Clark Hill is an international team of legal advisors with locations spanning across the United States, Ireland, and Mexico.
