BSVA Studio Legale Associato announces the hire of Piero Magri as new Partner of the firm’s Criminal Law department.
Piero Magri has been a lawyer since 1994 and first worked for 10 years at a criminal law boutique (the Gulotta Varischi Pino firm), then he founded his own professional firm and, subsequently, for 10 years he was a partner in the RP Legal & Tax firm, to finally arrive as a partner in BSVA from January 2024.
Piero Magri has consolidated experience in judicial assistance in all areas of the so-called White collar Crime for national and international clients. He worked in the Parmalat crack trial, in numerous trials for tax crimes for multinational companies such as the Carrefour carousel fraud and in several corruption trials assisting pharmaceutical companies or doctors, public bodies or private companies.
He assists companies in 231 processes and in compliance activities for the drafting of Organizational Models or in ODV, of which he has acted as President for many years for leading Italian and multinational companies such as Alstom Ferroviaria, Ge Grid, Ge steam Power, Live Nation and Axians.
Magri also specializes in proceedings for workplace and environmental accidents for which he assists SMEs throughout the national territory. He is president of the Observatory of Criminal Lawyers of the Multipractice firms, of which he was co-founder in 2020. He is part of the Criminal Chamber and of the IBA Anti-Corruption Committee and is a member of AODV and AIAS.
Graduated from the University of Milan with a thesis on money laundering in US criminal law, he carried out a period of research at the Harvard Law School, also collaborating for 10 years with the professor’s chair. Marinucci.
Ranked among the best criminal lawyers in Italy by Chambers & Partners and the main Italian directories, he has for years been a speaker at conferences and training events on workplace safety, the environment, anti-corruption and 231 and is the author of numerous publications, including a monograph such as author on the subject of crimes against property and two as curator on the subject of anti-corruption and business crisis crimes.
BSVA Studio Legale Associato had already developed a criminal practice over the years with the lawyers Rita Pironti and Consuelo Muraro active in many important disputes. Thanks to the input of Piero Magri, BSVA strengthens and completes the criminal law area of the firm, to which associate Alice Lambicchi will also be added. The Criminal Department will also deal with 231 compliance together with Partner Luca Franceschet from the Varese office.
