Actis’ acquisition of 40% interest Javiera SpA.

Larrain y Asociados, Claro y Cia and Clifford Chance have advised on the transaction

Antofagasta Minerals S.A. (AMSA) and Origin Energy Geothermal Chile Limited, sale to Atlas Renewable Energy (Chile) SpA (Actis) 40% interest in Javiera SpA.

Javiera Solar Project consists in the construction and operation of 243,000 pannels mounted on single axis trackers, which produces 69.5MW. The energy will be injected to the SIC grid through the construction of a substation and the implementation of a transmission line.

Established in 2017, Atlas Renewable Energy is a renewable energy developer formed by the private investment firm Actis. The company was founded as a result of an acquisition of over 1,500MW of SunEdison’s Latin American assets.
