Silver Lake announced its acquisition of a significant minority stake in Euroclear from Intercontinental Exchange, a U.S. exchange operator.

Euroclear is a critical piece of the global financial markets infrastructure, with systemic importance as a provider of essential post-trade services worldwide. It provides settlement, custody, collateral management and issuer services across fixed income, equities and funds in more than 120 countries, with its clients including 90% of the world’s largest 50 banks. The transaction is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
