Federico Michele Sorrentino is the new Avocom’s Equity Partner

Avocom Law Firm Llp announces the appointment of Prof. Avv. Federico Michele Sorrentino as Equity Partner and Head of the Corporate M&A Department.
Graduated from Bocconi University in 1993 and admitted to the Italian Bar in 1996, Prof. Sorrentino has gained significant experience in leading international firms (Sidley Austin LLP, Deacons to mention a few) and as In-house Lawyer and Head of Legal and Compliance Office, EMEA Corporate Department, of a multinational company also owned by Citic Group Corporation.

He has developed an unmatched know-how in providing advice on extraordinary domestic and cross-border transactions, with a strong track-record in assisting Italian clients (included listed companies and private equity funds) in the internationalization of their activities. He assisted, in particular, purchasers, sellers, majority and minority shareholders, financing banks, financial advisors, and liaising with competent Authorities, entrepreneurs, boards of directors and leadership teams of different institutions as well as with government counterparties.  He has collaborated, as a reference consultant for the EMEA Area, for several years with the World Bank Group and, in particular, with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Agency.

He has previously taught, among others, at the University of Malta, the ESE European School of Economics and the University of Salamanca. He holds a Masters in Finance from the Institut européen d’administration des affaires (INSEAD), Fontainebleau. He is the author of numerous publications and speakers at conferences and seminars both in Italy and abroad on commercial, corporate and corporate governance issues.
