Domino’s Pizza Group plc (DPG) executed the sale of Pizza-Pizza ehf., the holder of the Domino’s master franchise rights in Iceland (Domino’s Iceland) to PPH ehf., a company controlled by a consortium of investors led by Birgir Bieltvedt, the indirect owner of the Domino’s franchisees in Norway and Sweden.

The disposal of Domino’s Iceland is part of DPG’s planned exit from all directly operated international markets to allow management to focus on its core UK and Ireland operations, and follows its exit from Domino’s Norway in 2020 and Domino’s Sweden earlier this month.

Domino’s Pizza Group plc is the leading player in the fast-growing pizza market holding the exclusive master franchise to own, operate and franchise Domino’s Pizza stores in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.

The Fried Frank team advising DPG was led by corporate partner Ian Lopez (Picture) and included tax partner Nick Thornton, corporate associates Nick Skill, James Frecknall, and Adrian Packer, and tax associate Richard Pilgrim.
