Play’s Acquisition of UPC Poland

Liberty Global has signed an agreement with the Iliad Group for the sale of 100% of the Polish cable operator UPC Poland to Play, a subsidiary of the Iliad Group, for an enterprise value of 7 billion zlotys, or 1.53 billion zlotys. euros.

After this acquisition, Play and UPC Poland will become the second largest telecom operator in Poland with, for 2020, a combined turnover of 1.96 billion euros and an EBITDAaL of 697 million euros, Iliad said in a statement. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2022.
