Nyfosa’s €200 Million Acquisition of Office Portfolio Disposal From Castellum

Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Castellum on the deal. Bird & Bird represented Nyfosa.

Castellum recently acquired a Finnish property portfolio through its acquisition of Kielo. Nine properties from the portfolio, located in Jyväskylä, are now being divested to Nyfosa for SEK 2.1 billion.

The divestment comprises nine office properties and one building right, attractively located in the regional city of Jyväskylä. The buyer, Nyfosa, focuses on regional cities, and this is its second acquisition in the Finnish property market.

Castellum is one of the Nordic region’s largest listed real estate companies with a property value of approximately SEK 96 billion.

Hannes Snellman’s core team included Tapio Teräkivi (Picture), Katja Heikkinen, and Paavo Romakkaniemi.

Bird & Bird’s cross-border team in Helsinki and Stockholm included associates Joanna Puhto (Real Estate), Josefina Aalto, William Schofield, Katariina Leino, Andreas Lundqvist (all Finance), Sofia Ekeryd (Corporate) and partners Mikko Ahonen (Corporate) and Olof Wetterling (Finance).
