Newpal-Investimentos SGPS announced the acquisition of 84% of the share capital of COPAM – Companhia Portuguesa de Amidos, S.A., for approximately 19.2 million euros.
Founded in 1937, COPAM is the only Portuguese starch industry and the leading company in Portugal in the production and commercialization of starch products for the food, pharmaceutical, paper and chemical industries.
