Jack in the Box’s Acquisition of Del Taco Restaurants

Jack in the Box Inc., one of the nation’s leading QSR chains, executed the acquisition of Del Taco Restaurants, Inc., the nation’s second largest Mexican quick service restaurant (QSR) chain by number of restaurants.

Jack in the Box Inc. (NASDAQ: JACK), founded and headquartered in San Diego, California, is a restaurant company that operates and franchises Jack in the Box® restaurants, one of the nation’s largest hamburger chains, with more than 2,200 restaurants in 21 states and Guam. 

Combined, the companies will have over 2,800 restaurants across 25 states and Guam. The transaction is subject to approval of Del Taco’s shareholders and is expected to close in the first calendar quarter of 2022.
