HKZ’s Investment in Kust Zuid Offshore Wind Farm Project

Loyens & Loeff advises lenders on the consortium of international lenders led by ING Bank N.V. on the financing of BASF’s investment in the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) offshore wind farm project located in the Dutch section of the North Sea.

The HKZ wind farm project is expected to be fully operational as of 2023 and will, with a total installed capacity of 1.5 GW,  be the largest offshore wind farm in the world. The renewable energy generated by the wind farm will be sufficient to power the equivalent of up to three million households.
