GroenLeven’s Sale of Floating Solar Park Beilen to Local Hands

Ploum has assisted GroenLeven with the transaction.

On February 14, 2022, the Coöperatie Project de Mussels UA and the Drents Overijsselse Delta Water Board took over the shares of the floating solar park on the Beugel Infrastructure on the Mussels in Beilen from GroenLeven and BayWa re. As a result, the solar source became locally owned. The 40,000-panel solar park with a total capacity of 16 megawatts provides enough green energy for about 5,000 households in Drenthe; this represents approximately one third of the number of households in the municipality of Midden-Drenthe. The local environment thus benefits optimally from the arrival of the solar park.

The Ploum team was led by Geert de Nijs (corporate M&A) and also consisted of Stephan Sluijters (Picture, corporate M&A) and Sophie de Clercq (corporate M&A).
