CWS Cleanrooms’ Acquisition of WERO Specialistische Reiniging

AKD has assisted CWS Cleanrooms on the deal.

CWS Cleanrooms, a division of the CWS Group, completed the acquisition of WERO Specialistische Reiniging BV from BRECON Groep BV, a leading company for the construction and operation of cleanrooms in the Netherlands. CWS Cleanrooms is Europe’s first supplier of complete cleanroom solutions. The acquisition further expands the company’s Benelux offering to include cleaning and training services. CWS and BRECON will maintain business relations, jointly serving customers.

The CWS range is divided into products and services covering the areas of hygiene, mats, workwear, fire protection, cleanroom services and healthcare.

CWS is a brand of CWS International GmbH and its subsidiaries. Currently, the group employs around 11,000 employees in 15 countries. In 2020, the company generated sales of 1.242 billion euros. CWS International GmbH and its subsidiaries are a 100 percent investment of Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH.

WERO is a Dutch company specialising in cleaning services for buildings and cleanrooms. WERO has 30 years of international experience in the field of specialist cleaning of controlled environments for the high-care food industry, laboratories and healthcare, and of specific cleanrooms used in the microelectronics, medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
