Coinbase’s Acquisition Of Tagomi

Fenwick & West represented Coinbase Inc., while Latham & Watkins LLP represented Tagomi in the transaction.

Coinbase Inc., a digital currency wallet and platform where merchants and consumers can transact with new digital currencies like bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin, entered into an agreement to acquire Tagomi, a leading crypto prime brokerage platform.

The acquisition will bolster Coinbase’s offerings for advanced traders and the most sophisticated crypto investors. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close later this year.
