Cloudflare’s $162 Million Acquisition of Area 1 Security

Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: NET), the security, performance, and reliability company helping to build a better Internet, has agreed to acquire Area 1 Security for US$162 million. 

Cloudflare’s suite of products protect and accelerate any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare have all web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. 

Area 1 Security’s cloud-native platform, which works seamlessly with any email offering, stops phishing attacks by preemptively discovering and eliminating them before they can inflict damage in a corporate environment.
