Adecco’s $412.5 Million Acquisition of Global Educator General Assembly

General Assembly is a worldwide provider of training in high-demand areas such as coding, design, data science, business, marketing, and professional development. Dedicated to closing the skills gap between job seekers and employers’ hiring needs, the company boasts 20 campuses, over 10,000 corporate hiring partners, and a 35,000+ alumni list.

For Adecco, a global human resources services company with 450 locations in 60 countries, this strategic acquisition enables it to offer employers job-ready candidates equipped with real-world knowledge and skills.

General Assembly will exist as a distinct division and will be led by Jake Schwartz, the company’s co-founder and CEO.

The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2018, pending regulatory approvals.

Adecco Group AG is a personnel and temporary employment company. The Company, led by Alain Dehaze, Hans Ploos Van Amstel and Rob James, in 2017 recorded $26.889 Billion revenues.
