Acquisition of El Observador

A group of investors led by Gerardo Werthein and Gabriel Hochbaum executed the acquisition of a controlling shares in the Uruguayan journalistic group El Observador. 

In this new stage, El Observador will continue to have Ricardo Peirano (its founder) in his new role as journalistic director.

Gerardo Werthein was president of the Argentine Olympic Committee for 12 years (Télam). The new shareholders are planned a consistent investment in in digital innovation and in the generation of regional journalistic content.
